Dear ACCE Families,
I want to personally follow up on the message shared regarding the upcoming leadership transition.
Serving as your principal for the past eight and a half years has truly been one of the greatest honors of my professional life. When I reflect on ACCE, I do not just think of a program — I think of families, partnerships, conversations in the office, weekly meetings, graduations, celebrations, and the courage it takes to choose a different educational path for your children. It has been my absolute privilege to walk alongside you during that journey.
ACCE families are special. You are committed, engaged, and deeply invested in your children’s success. I will never forget the trust you placed in me, nor the countless moments we have shared together. ACCE will always hold a very special place in my heart.
At the same time, I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to be the principal at Morongo Valley Elementary School. Stepping into this new role is both humbling and energizing, and I look forward to supporting that school community during this transition. Just as I have done here, I will bring the same commitment to relationships, high expectations, and student-centered leadership.
I also want to reassure you about leadership moving forward. Jennifer Seacat is a fantastic principal who leads with her heart — just as everyone here at ACCE does. She is not new to alternative education. She brings many years of experience serving students and families in a variety of roles and settings. She understands the importance of relationships, consistency, and student-centered decision-making. I have full confidence that she will continue to nurture the culture of care and excellence that defines this program.
Please know that the foundation of ACCE is strong. The systems are solid. Most importantly, the people are exceptional. ACCE will continue to be a beacon of light for homeschooling and independent study families in our community. The commitment to student success, flexibility, and personalized learning will remain at the center of everything we do.
While this transition brings change, it does not change my gratitude. I carry with me the memories, the growth, and the deep appreciation I have for each of you.
Sincerely,
Gary Talley
