STUDENTS:
Each Wednesday is an early release day. School gets out at 12:30 pm. Tutoring is on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. Late buses are available.
STUDENTS AGE 16 AND UP: The Morongo Unified School District Expanded Learning Opportunities After School Programs, are looking for students who are interested in working as tutors. There will be an informational meeting today, during both lunches in the Library.
SATURDAY SCHOOL: Our next Saturday School of the year is scheduled for Saturday, December 2. Four hours of Saturday School will clear one full day absence. As a reminder 9 or more unexcused absences in any classes will result in no credit for that class. Please sign-up in the attendance office or scan one of the Saturday School Posters on campus.

The TPP classes are holding a Blood Drive Thursday, December 7 in the wrestling room. You can get a permission slip from the sign-up table at lunch or in the library. Permission slip deadline is Monday, Dec. 4. Give from the heart- Donate blood!

Coming off the long Thanksgiving break the Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball struggled finding their rhythm for most of the game but made some big plays in the fourth quarter and came home with a 44-40 victory over Aquinas HS in a first-round game at the Redlands East Valley HS tournament. The Lady Trojans held a 19-11 lead at halftime but the Falcons tied the game at 36-36 midway through the fourth quarter before the Lady Trojans were able to close out the game. Junior Tayla Monroy scored 8 points in the final quarter and sophomore Teagan Moon sank two free throws with 14 seconds remaining in the game to put the Yucca girls up by four points to seal the win. Senior Cadence Tarrant scored a team high 13 points, Monroy added 12 points and junior CeCe Gilmore was solid scoring 9 points. Junior Tori Simpson was a spark off the bench with her rebounding and defense along with scoring 4 points and Moon also finished with 4 points.
The win improved the teams record to 4-1 on the season with a second-round tournament game against Serrano HS next on the schedule Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
