SATURDAY SCHOOL: Our next Saturday School of the year is scheduled for Saturday, February 10. 4 hours of Saturday School will clear one full day absence. As a reminder 9 or more unexcused absences in any classes will result in no credit for that class. Please sign up in the attendance office or scan one of the Saturday School Posters on campus.
SENIORS: April 1 is your last day to order your cap & gown from Jostens. QR code is available in the ASB office.
FINANCIAL AID IS COMING! Completing financial aid forms (FAFSA or CADAA) is a graduation requirement this year. On February 1, all seniors will be called to the computer labs to complete one of those forms. Make sure you bring your social security number that day to ensure you can fill out your form.
TROJANS! Girls ask your guy or round up your friends. YVHS-PTO is having a Sadie Hawkins dance on Saturday, February 24 from 6:00 pm. until 9:00 pm in the gym. Tickets will be on sale from February 5 to February 23 and can be purchased in the library between 6:45 am. and 7:00 am. Cash or card will be accepted. A permission slip form is required and can be picked up in the ASB Office. Reach out to Ms. Rodriguez if you have any questions.
THE SENIOR TRIP is on March 15, 2024 to Belmont Park and the WNDR museum. It’s a FREE trip. Make sure to go to the ASB Office to get the permission slip and turn it in by February 15.
THE ASVAB aptitude test will be given again next Tuesday, February 6, from 7:00 am. to 11:22 am. For more information or to sign up ask your teacher about the ASVAB flier. You can scan the QR code or sign up in the Counseling Office.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED in throwing, jumping, or/and running for the Track Team please see Coach Francis before school or at 2nd lunch in room G-8. Practices will start Monday, February 5 at 2:20 pm. on the Track.
THE LADY TROJAN BASKETBALL TEAM moved one game closer to an undefeated Desert Valley League season scorching Cathedral City HS by a 61-8 score Monday afternoon in Cathedral City. Senior Cadence Tarrant again led the charge knocking down 19 points, pulling down 11 rebounds and passing out 6 assists. Junior CeCe Gilmore put together a double-double scoring 12 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Freshman Kamea Medina was a spark coming off the bench to add 12 points and fellow freshman Nahveah Baclig chipped in 8 points. Sophomore Lyrics Thompson contributed 4 points while junior Tayla Monroy and sophomore Teagan Moon each hit a 3-point basket to complete the scoring. The victory upped the teams league record to 13-0 and overall record to 23-4. The girls will try to complete their unblemished league record when they host the second place Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles on Wednesday January 31st. Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm. in Trojan Gym with Senior Night festivities at halftime for Cadence Tarrant and the YVHS Trojan Cheerleading team.
