STUDENTS:
The sophomore class is hosting a Sadie Hawkins Dance on Saturday, January 24, in the gym from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets will be sold January 12 through the 23—$15 without ASB and $10 with ASB. Permission slips are required to purchase tickets. We hope to see you there!
Our next day of Saturday School is on Saturday January 24th. Saturday School is an excellent way for students to recoup absences, get off the no go list as well as use the time to catch up on any missing work. One session of Saturday School clears one full absence. Please sign up with the Attendance Office to reserve your spot.
Students, please remember that in order to come into the library during lunch, you must have your school ID card. The library is not able to look your name up.
The library would like to remind all students that if you have any overdue items from YVHS or any other school in our district, you are placed on the no-go list. Please note that this includes the ability to attend or participate in any school activities, such as sports, attending sporting events, and dances. With Sadie Hawkins, Prom, and Graduation coming up, be sure to get your account cleared. Return or pay for your items as soon as possible to be removed from the no-go list and regain your access to important events.
This Friday, January 16, during the last 10 minutes of 1st period, we are excited to host a PBIS Breakfast Burrito Bar to celebrate students who are demonstrating positive schoolwide behavior. Students who have no major discipline offenses, fewer than four tardies, and zero Fs will receive an invitation to attend this reward event. This celebration recognizes students for their consistent effort, responsibility, and commitment to our Trojan expectations. Thank you to our teachers and staff for supporting PBIS and helping reinforce positive choices across campus. Let’s keep building a culture where students are recognized for doing the right thing every day! Go Trojans!
