STUDENTS

Be sure to stop by Steak ‘n Shake this Thursday from 5-8pm to support our senior class! Proceeds will go towards their graduation ceremony! Grab a sweet treat with your friends while helping out fellow classmates!

Seniors, if you paid for a Senior package at orientation and have not filled out a Grad Nite permission slip yet, you must do so to be able to participate in Grad Nite. Permission slips can be picked up in ASB office. No refunds will be given after the event has been paid for.

The ASB Office will close early today and be closed Wednesday through Friday this week.

Seniors, the time to submit your Senior Quotes to yearbook is here! Check your synergy email with a link to the Google form. You must be logged into your school Gmail. Upload personality pictures, shout out friends, and share memories to be used in this year’s yearbook. The final date Senior Quotes can be submitted is Monday, February 2. If you miss the deadline, it will be too late.

Trojans, join ASB for a night out at Acrisure Arena Friday, January 30, to watch the Coachella Valley Firebirds hockey team take the ice. A portion of each ticket sold will go back to the school as a fundraiser. Find a QR code around campus to buy your tickets today.

The sophomore class is hosting a Sadie Hawkins Dance on Saturday, January 24, in the gym from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets will be sold January 12 through the 23—$15 without ASB and $10 with ASB. Permission slips are required to purchase tickets. We hope to see you there!

Sadie Hawkins ticket sales will be cash only starting tomorrow. Tickets will be sold during your lunch.

Our next day of Saturday School is this Saturday, January 24. Saturday School is an excellent way for students to recoup absences, get off the no go list as well as use the time to catch up on any missing work. One session of Saturday School clears one full absence. Please sign up with the Attendance Office to reserve your spot.

Student Writers: If you wrote a Survivor Chapter for the MUSD Writing Competition, please bring a printed copy to Dr. Nicholson in L7 not later than Wednesday, the 21st, so that it can be submitted to the contest. Make sure the printed copy follows all of the contest formatting requirements. A list of those requirements can be obtained from Dr. Nicholson in L7.

Students, please remember that in order to come into the library during lunch, you must have your school ID card.  The library is not able to look your name up.

The library would like to remind all students that if you have any overdue items from YVHS or any other school in our district, you are placed on the no-go list.  Please note that this includes the ability to attend or participate in any school activities, such as sports, attending sporting events, and dances. With Sadie Hawkins, Prom, and Graduation coming up, be sure to get your account cleared. Return or pay for your items as soon as possible to be removed from the no-go list and regain your access to important events.
