Classified Substitute

Subbing as a Classified Substitute allows you a flexible schedule; work when you are available. On-call positions are available during the school year. Shift hours vary up to 8 hours in various positions and subbing opportunities.

Substitutes are needed for the following positions: CUSTODIAN, GROUNDSKEEPER, WAREHOUSE, INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT, SECONDARY CAMPUS SUPERVISOR, NOON SUPERVISOR, NUTRITIONAL SERVICE WORKER AND CLERICAL 

Compensation

$17.00 PER HOUR

Requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years old.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

BECOME A CLASSIFIED SUBSTITUTE - Classified Substitute

Please submit a completed application for the position of Classified Substitute on Edjoin.  Qualified applicants will be required to attend a meeting prior to starting any assignments. The next meeting is anticipated to be scheduled in April. Please apply by April 17, 2024 to be invited. This could be the last meeting until July.

Certificated Substitute

Substitute teachers are always needed in the Morongo USD. We are accepting applications at this time.

Application to Substitute Teach

Benefits:

  • $190.00 per day for daily substitute assignments.

  • $220.00 per day for long term substitute assignments.

  • Gather necessary teaching credential experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

  • Up-to-date CTC Teaching Credential and/or Substitute Permit.

  • Photocopy of transcript reflecting degree earned (applicants must hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university)

  • Photocopy of teaching credential (if applicable) 

  • Photocopy of passing results from an acceptable Basic Skills Exam (i.e. CBEST or a comparable exam if from out of state). Check the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website: ctc.ca.gov OR submit verification from your college or university that you met the equivalent through course work.

Qualified applicants will be invited by mail to attend a substitute orientation meeting.   Substitute orientations are held approximately every six weeks. Attendance is required.

Official transcripts, Basic Skills test scores, DOJ livescan and TB clearance will be required before employment can be approved.
