Santa Claus brought some Christmas cheer to Twentynine Palms Elementary School this morning with some help from his friends at the Twentynine Palms Rotary Club. Thank you Santa and our local Rotarians for bringing books to our students.



The Town of Yucca Valley recognized the Trojan Football team at their council meeting earlier this week. Thank you for recognizing the outstanding efforts of our student athletes!

Families at Palm Vista Elementary School had some fun during their Bingo for Books event last night. Students and family members all played bingo for the chance to win books. At the end of the event everyone got at least three new books to take home!



Students from our PLUS program's elementary classroom recently went on a field trip to the 29 Palms Creative Center. Thank you so much for having our students. They had a great time exploring their creative sides through pottery.


Twentynine Palms High School student Kieu Huynh was recognized by the MUSD Board of Education earlier this month for her admittance to the highly prestigious UCR Medical Leaders of Tomorrow Academy. The Owls soared today at Joshua Tree Elementary School's November Leadership Assembly! This month students were recognized who "Put First Things First." That means they prioritized their important work before play.



Congratulations to all of the schools throughout the district who received recognition at the 8th Annual San Bernardino County Schools PBIS Showcase.
This year, 15 schools within the Morongo Unified School District were recognized for their continued work creating positive school environments on campus for their students.

The Yucca Valley High School football team dominated at their home game against Buena Park on Friday, moving them into the Division 12 CIF Semi Finals! They'll be hosting Santa Fe High School this Friday on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. We're so proud of our amazing student athletes. #ProudtobeMUSD

Last week students at La Contenta Middle School were visited by former professional wrestler Marc Mero for an inspirational talk about making positive life choices. Mero's speech touched on his humble beginnings and his journey to pro athletics. He encouraged students to be kind to their families, show empathy for their peers and to follow their dreams. Thank you to Marc Mero for visiting our students!

Congratulations to the Trojan football team for making it to the CIF Division 12 Quarter Finals! The Trojans have had an amazing 2023 football season winning the Desert Valley League Championship, bringing home the bell at the Battle of the Bell and defeating Wilson High School in their first round of CIF competition last week.
Now the Trojans will be taking on Buena Park on Friday for the Quarter Finals. You can catch the game at the Trojan Stadium on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.

Morongo Unified School District, in partnership with San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, is proud to offer Footsteps2Brilliance early literacy apps in English and Spanish for free to all families with children in 3rd grade or below.

Tonight the Academy of College and Career Excellence held a ribbon cutting for their new permanent campus.
Board Members, district staff, students and families gathered for the ceremony that was followed by the schools Fall Festival.

Surrounded by students, staff, district personnel and local dignitaries the Wildcats celebrated the long-awaited Wildcat Stadium in a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Students at Twentynine Palms Elementary School had a special visitor today when Assemblyman Tom Lackey stopped by.
The Assemblyman took some time to tour the school kitchen and lunch area, while also enjoying school lunch with district personnel and students. Dr. Lackey and students also got the chance to try out the Districts new Bike Blender and then enjoy the smoothies!

Each year schools throughout the district participate in Fire Prevention Month, to help educate students about the importance of fire safety.
This week students at Joshua Tree Elementary School were able to learn fire safety tips and preventative measures from San Bernardino County Fire Department.

The La Contenta Lions had some fun this morning with special guests from Go Green BMX. The students went wild as performers in the show demonstrated amazing jumps and stunts. Some dedicated staff also were able to participate in the show.

This week, students in the Summer Program are wrapping up their summer with plenty of art projects.
